The group’s Hindi daily, continues to be the second-largest daily in the country. Requirement Since the client was managing a huge number of databases for their Hindi & English dailies, they were looking for support services for their entire RDBMS infrastructure deployed at their data centre at Noida, UP. Challenge The main challenge was DB performance and scalability challenges the organisation had to deal with day in and out. Solution provided Since redoing the whole setup was not an option since the client was more interested in maintenance of the current setup; the job at hand was to start the support services project with a full audit of the RDBMS install base and the underlying host OS configuration states. The client had five physical servers, four of which act as VM servers, and one acts as the VM Manager.
